Peter Borchard (biography)

Peter Borchard is a native of New Jersey and was a music and harpsichord major at the North Carolina School of the Arts. During that time he became responsible for all of the concert and recital recording for both the school’s archival recordings and for broadcast on local radio stations. His recording work at NCSA became a full curriculum, similar to the European Tonmeister discipline.

His years in retail audio and importing included the formation of Pavane Productions which produced and recorded the London/Decca release of a new harpsichordist that became the third best selling classical record in 1975.

In the early 1990s Peter served as the assistant to the principal audio/video consultant in the Boulder office of Kirkegaard & Associates, where his collaborations with Dennis Fleisher began.
